The Archive: Queer Nigerians
The Archive: Queer Nigerians is a poetic documentary directed by Simisolaoluwa Akande. With Nigerian queer history erased from the national narrative of Nigeria, queer Nigerians in the UK gather to tell their stories, documenting their experiences so they can never be erased again.

Less
“Less” is a powerful documentary produced by Stonewall Housing exploring LGBTQ+ homelessness through the spotlight of faith and culture.
Content Warning: This film uncovers the harsh realities of homophobic and transphobic abuse. The film includes references to conversion therapy, so-called honour-based violence, exorcisms and forced marriage.

Spoken Word Poetry From Maureen Onwunali
Former Roundhouse Poetry Slam champion, and self-proclaimed ‘notes app poet’, Maureen Onwunali (she/they) uses spoken word as a means of exploring identity, society and her place in the world.

Be Part of the Conversation
Engage in a Q&A session led by House of Stonewall members, a collective of LGBTQ+ individuals who have faced homelessness and found refuge in Stonewall Housing’s services, and Anjum Mouj of Imaan, a volunteer-led charity, by and for LGBTQI Muslims. Immerse yourself in an interactive creative workshop supported by Cass Art, where your stories, drawings, and poems will contribute to a collective collage.

“Navigating housing instability can be incredibly isolating, especially for LGBTQ+ individuals whose needs are often unmet by mainstream services. This event offers a chance for people to discover available support and make new connections with peers. Our aim is to use art and creativity to promote awareness, understanding, and solidarity within the LGBTQ+ community, ensuring everyone feels represented and supported in their journey toward secure housing and well-being. Thank you to Hackney Council for supporting this event through the Hackney Pride 365 grant awards scheme for LGBTQ+ History Month 2024”
