About LESS

LESS is our powerful new 50min documentary exploring homelessness within the queer community through the spotlight of faith and culture.

Produced by Stonewall Housing, the UK’s leading LGBTQ+ homelessness charity, Less examines the realities of queer homelessness; homophobic and transphobic abuse, conversion therapy, so-called honour-based violence, exorcisms and forced marriage.

In 2020, 82% of Stonewall Housing service users attributed culture or religion to their homelessness. LESS highlights stories and follows the journeys of Stonewall Housing alumni and some of the leading figures in the LGBTQ+ sector. Together, they share their experiences of homelessness, relationships with their faith and culture, and finding their blended, chosen family.

LESS includes interviews with an incredible range of experts and speakers including service users, LGBTQ+ specialists, academics, activists and community leaders including:

Imaan
House of Rainbow
Lady Phyll
Dr Rusi Jaspal
Jayne Ozanne
