Options for Legacy Gifts
If you want to leave a gift to Stonewall Housing it’s worth taking time to think about your options and what kind of gifts you can leave.
- You can leave a gift of a specific amount of money – you can ask your will writer to index link the amount to ensure that its value increases with inflation
- You can leave a percentage of whatever is left from your estate once you’ve looked after your family and friends
- You can leave a specific item such as property, jewellery or other valuables
- You can leave a gift of shares
You can leave your money free of Inheritance Tax up to a certain amount. For each £100 above that amount, when you leave £60 to your friends and family, £40 will go to the Treasury, unless you take control of your money and leave that £100 to a charity of your choice.
That way, you decide how your money is used.
If you are ready to leave a legacy you can design your will personally with our amazing House of Stonewall Champion lawyer, Kirsty Limacher. Just send us an email to email@example.com and we’ll arrange your consultation for you.
Your money, left as a legacy in your will, could make a real difference to Stonewall Housing and future generations of the LGBTQ+ community.
