We’re touched that you thought of us, but due to limited storage space we only accept clothing or goods on a case-by-case basis. Reach out to our team on supporters@stonewallhousing.org to get in touch about donations.

Why are you called Stonewall Housing?

The ‘Stonewall’ part of our name was inspired by the protests of 1969, and the ‘Housing’ part is because everything we do is aimed at supporting LGBTQ+ people with their housing.

Is Stonewall Housing affiliated with “Stonewall”, the LGBTQ+ rights charity?

We often get asked this, but to clear things up: Stonewall Housing and Stonewall are two completely separate organisations.

Stonewall is a national LGBTQ+ rights charity focused on campaigning, lobbying, and policy work. Stonewall Housing, on the other hand, is the only charity in the UK dedicated to supporting LGBTQ+ people of all ages who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.

Our work is rooted in housing, support services, and preventing homelessness – making sure LGBTQ+ people have a safe place to call home.

How long has Stonewall Housing been supporting LGBTQ+ people?

Stonewall Housing has been providing support, housing, advice and advocacy to the LGBTQ+ community since 1983.
