Our experienced training team can offer in-person and virtual training nationwide.
We provide training and workshops informed by the knowledge we have gathered from over 40 years of delivering services to LGBTQ+ people.
We empower teams of all sizes to confidently meet the needs of LGBTQ+ people accessing their services, or in their staff team – whatever their knowledge level.
Our training is informed by our expertise as a specialist, by-and-for service, with an intersectional lens. Our sessions are interactive and engaging, and we aim to create learning spaces that are challenging, yet welcoming.
In last financial year, our training team worked with 38 organisations, providing training to over 1150 people.
Every organisation has different needs, and varying levels of knowledge about LGBTQ+ issues amongst its staff.

The LGBTQ+ Housing Pledge, by HouseProud and delivered by Stonewall Housing, is a scheme that all social housing providers can sign up to. It asks them to demonstrate their commitment to LGBTQ+ resident equality and support. It was engineered to work flexibly for all social housing providers, regardless of their size and geographical location.
With our 40-year history of proudly supporting LGBTQ+ people to access safe housing across the UK, we are delighted that Stonewall Housing has joined forces with HouseProud to become the delivery partner for the LGBTQ+ Housing Pledge.
Research demonstrates that LGBTQ+ people often don’t feel safe with operatives visiting their homes. We designed a toolbox talk with this in mind.
The training is a snapshot of life for LGBTQ+ people and aims to promote best practice for operatives. The training is a short session (90mins – 2hrs) aimed at the time slot at the beginning of the day (8.30-10am) in line with traditional toolbox talk timings.

The Stonewall Housing Inclusion Standard demonstrates an organisation’s or department’s commitment to LGBTQ+ customers and inclusive practice.
