Cheers to Polari for One Million Pints – and £100,000 Raised for Stonewall Housing

Last week, we hit an incredible milestone with our friends at Portobello Brewery in John the Unicorn, Peckham – the millionth pint of Polari was poured!

Since the launch of the partnership in 2021, 10p from every pint of Polari and Rainbow Pilsner has been donated directly to Stonewall Housing, helping us provide vital housing support and advocacy for LGBTQ+ people facing or experiencing homelessness.

We marked this brilliant milestone in style, as Rob Jenkins, Managing Director of Portobello Brewery, poured the millionth pint of Polari alongside Dipti Mouj, one of Stonewall Housing’s fantastic trustees. A real moment to celebrate everything this partnership has made possible.

Let’s also raise a glass to the partnerships that made this possible – Portobello Brewery, every venue, every volunteer, and every person who chose this beer because it meant something more.

From crisis intervention to long-term housing support, this funding helps make sure LGBTQ+ people can access safe, inclusive services – and experience the dignity, stability and security that everyone deserves.

We’re so grateful to everyone who’s played a part in this. Whether you’ve bought a pint, stocked a venue, shared a post or spread the word – you’ve helped raise vital funds and visibility for our work.

Here’s to the next million – and to a future where no one is without a safe place to call home.
